Hello!I'm Matthew Walsh and I get to help people make music for a living. I found my love for audio in high school while participating in live theatre and helping friends record music. As more and more people liked what I did and asked me to help them, I left school to begin touring and renting commercial studio space.
I'm fortunate to have toured the world with Grammy Award winning artists, recorded R&B starts, and installed audio systems for over a dozen schools and organizations in the Richmond area. In my free time, I enjoy dialing in pour over and espresso coffee, performing live with modular synthesizers, and collecting interesting watches and microphones. If you’d like to hear my thoughts and learn more about what I do and why I do it, check out the links below or send me a message! |
Testimonials
Matthew is the consummate professional, both in technical expertise and soft-skill relational savvy. I've yet to come across a scenario related to live audio, studio applications, or general production where I don't immediately think, "Oh, I'll ask Matthew what he thinks about that." He has such a deep knowledge bank, and what's astounding is how enthusiastic he is about expanding his knowledge and staying on the cutting edge. He's innovative, people-first, art-first, and he combines all of that with the highest level of professional skill. You won't regret working with him.

Kudos to your soundman who made the Aragon (Ballroom; Chicago, IL) sound better than I've EVER heard it.

Loomin' and Bloomin'
Loomin' (LU-min) - the act of combining and organizing two or more cables with electrical tape to allow for a faster deployment and a cleaner stage look.
|
Bloomin' (BLU-min) - the first stage of the pourover coffee brew process. It is a quickened degassing of carbon dioxide brought about by pouring water over freshly ground coffee.
